We have recently joined forces with Les Burnip & Claire Elliott from Chantry Estates to bring you a range of Property Networking Events & Training Days that are not to be missed.

These events are a great place to meet the Property Community in Tyne and Wear and indeed across the whole of the North East.
The event will have the following format -
Venue - European Suite at the Marriott Hotel, MetroCentre, Gateshead, NE11 9XF
6.15pm to 7pm - Registration & visit the Exhibitions Stands plus the opportunity to network with other property related people including potential new investors, landlords, developers, letting agents, first time buyers and property related service providers such as solicitors and mortgage advisers. So if you are thinking of buying your first home or considering investing in property or already a seasoned investor then you will benefit from attending this event.
7pm to 8pm - Guest Presentation by Dominic Farrell, Bold Spirit Ltd titled
"Buying Distressed Property Assets - how to maximise returns "
Dominic was born and bred in Liverpool and graduated from Bradford University with an honours degree in Economics before gaining a Masters degree in Business from Cranfield University. Dominic then attended the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst before being commissioned into the British Army. He achieved the rank of Major and was decorated in the Operational Honours List of 2001 before retiring in 2003.
In 2004, he co-founded InvestinCyprus.com which originally traded as a sales agency before becoming a property developer in Cyprus. Its mixed use residential scheme, the €45m Grove Spa Resort, completes in October 2010. Now trading as InvestinCyprus.com Developers, the company has a land bank in the Larnaca District and is planning several new schemes.
Dominic founded Bold Spirit Limited and Bold Spirit Financial Services Limited to focus on UK property, financial services and fund management. Dominic is a Director of both companies and also owns a personal portfolio of property in the UK and overseas. He has also written a bestselling property investment book, published by Lawpack in June 2006.
Dominic lives in Liverpool and also spends time in the Lake District and Cyprus. His interests include football, boxing, rugby, cooking and live music.

The first event under the 'Property Events North East ' banner was held on the 30th June 2010 at the Marriott Hotel at the Metro Centre in Gateshead.

"The future for Buy to Let lending is bright, post election, credit crunch and recession"

Steve Simpson is a local Landlord and has worked in financial services for over 30 years, most of that time involved in the mortgage sector and for the last 7 years, specialising in the buy to let lending market as National Sales Manager of the firm who provide the NLA with their mortgage service. With the private rented sector continuing to grow, Lending has dropped by over 80% since 2008, the second half of 2010 will see a significant change on buy to let lending as old and new lenders return and enter the market.

'The Bank of England's View of the Economy'
During his talk David covered the banks view of the wider economy, including the prospects for growth, inflation and the aftermath of the credit crunch, with a particular focus on the impact of the latter on property markets.

As a company we like to run regular networking events to allow our clients and contacts to secure more business in a friendly environment.
We strive to be a bit different from the norm and usually run these events in a variety of strange places and locations.
The main aim being to promote the different businesses that attend allowing them to network but with a large focus placed on fun and laughter!!
Our last event was on the 26th June 2008 on board the Black Diamond, a 45 foot sailing yacht based at Hartlepool Marina.
The event involved 3 hours of sailing in the morning with a 2 course lunch to follow in the afternoon at Krimo's Restaurant on the Marina.
