This Social Media Training Seminar took place on the 3rd November 2010 at the Marriott Hotel in Gateshead and was titled.
' How To Harness The Power Of Social Media In Your Property Business '
The seminar was delivered by Nick Tadd & Vanessa Warwick

Vanessa Warwick and Nick Tadd are one of the most high profile couples in the U.K. property and Landlord arena.
They started their property investment career in early 2004, and by December 2006, had built up enough positive net cash flow from their property portfolio to give up their day jobs as TV Director and TV Cameraman. They realised early on that “none of us is as smart as all of us” and that there is “strength in numbers”. This led them to start building their network of like-minded people and also to share information on the social web, so that they could grow and develop their thinking through the input of others.
Between them, the pair have spoken at over 1500 property networking events, seminars, and workshops and have contributed over 2,000 posts to various property forums.
In April 2009, Vanessa and Nick co-founded the Property Tribes forum, which is now one of the most active Landlord/investor communities on the web. They now consult for corporates on how to “pipe” intent on the social web. They are currently working with the Property Investor Show 2010 on their social web strategy, as well as speaking at three seminars at the event, and hosting the Great Landlord’s debate which will be a new feature of the 2010 show.
With over 60 billion searches on google per month, and the algorithms increasingly favouring social content rather than paid-for or manipulated content, you cannot afford not to explore harnessing the power of the social web.
Venue - This event was held in the Paris Suite at the Newcastle Marriott Hotel MetroCentre, Gateshead, NE11 9XF on Wednesday 3rd November 2010.
The Talk -'Harnessing The Power of Social Media In Your Property Business'
The Content - In this enlightening talk guests were introduced to the social web and the benefits of sharing information and building an on-line profile, personal brand, and network.
It explained how you can become known as the “go to” person for your product/service and how you can build community around your business and facilitate your customers doing your marketing for you! This is increasingly important for businesses in an age when only 14% of people trust advertisements, but 78% of people trust a friend of community review or referral.
The presentation covered how to create business exposure for your properties and your property-related business through the use of free web tools. It suggested strategies and ways of achieving traction on-line quickly and how to create visibility, credibility, and profitability for your business by contributing to the social web.
