COASTAL RETREATS NETS GOLD AWARD
Coastal Retreats can now officially claim to be ‘North East Self-Catering Holiday of the Year’.
At a glittering North East Tourism Awards ceremony at Newcastle’s Marriott Hotel on October 21st, Coastal Retreats’ founder, Fiona Mckeith, was delighted to be called up to receive the Gold Award in the category of Self Catering Holiday of the Year 2008.
Coastal Retreats, whose collection of contemporary 5 star self-catering accommodation is dotted along Northumberland’s spectacular coastline, has been rewarded after growing the business from one single cottage in 2000 to today’s select portfolio of over 20.
“It’s all in the detail,” said Fiona after collecting the Gold award, “We take the 5 star concept and then go that extra mile, with a truly personal service, each property having a unique mix of individually-styled chic interiors, designer toiletries and extra touches to make guests feel special, and we even have our own child-friendly starfish rating system to help holidaymakers choose the most suitable property for their junior guests.”
Coastal Retreats will now go forward to represent the region in the VisitBritain National Tourism Awards next year.
