Our History 

The Company was formed in 1982, and aimed at estate agents, principally to provide a sign erection service of "For Sale" signs. An office and small workroom were acquired in Newcastle staffed with five personnel.

By 1987 there was a clear strategy for future years, larger premises (approx. 8,000 sq. ft.) were purchased in Gateshead. We started to receive enquiries for property development signs which required signwriting, the workforce increased to include a joiner three erectors a screen printer and three office staff.

In 1990 we opened an office and storage facility in Thornaby, Teesside. Property maintenance became a large part of the business at this time, we had joiners, plumbers and a contract electrician. The early 1990's were "frantic", we were developing the estate agency work, the property maintenance was strong, we identified the need to broaden our signmaking facilities. We purchased our first computer driven vinyl letter cutting machine in 1991, the signshop was now fully equipped.

In 1996 we were employing around fifteen full time staff, the signmaking and fabricating took over from property maintenance as we had hoped, the signshop was now equipped with a CNC router enabling the fabrication of individual letters in acrylic, aluminium/composites, wood etc.

By 2000, the Teesside branch had a staff of five erectors and two office personnel, the decision to cease property maintenance and concentrate on signmaking had been taken, additionally we started to manufacture shop window and wall displays exclusively for estate agents, the signshop was equipped for diamond edge polishing and thermal bending of acrylic sheet.

In 2003 we purchased a wide format (53") digital process printer which allows high quality "one-off" or multiple prints within minutes, machinery has been updated and renewed in the ensuing years and we currently have 25 staff plus the two original partners.

In 2008 our head office, previously in Gateshead, reopened in larger premises in Blaydon. These new premises include a new screen printing shop with fully automated high production machines, a new design studio, a showroom, 3000 sq.ft. of office space and 7000 sq.ft. of factory space. The site also includes an extensive yard area with ample parking spaces.
